Just to update you there are two prominent music locations in Kentish town, where I think we could find interesting material for mine and Marsha's piece: The Forum and The Bull and Gate.
The Forum: one of London’s major live entertainment venues. It is located in Kentish Town, and is one of the UK’s best-preserved original theatres.
The Forum was originally built as an art deco cinema in 1934 by Herbert Yapp. The architect was J. Stanley Beard and the interior design was by his partner W.R. Bennett.
It is still very successful today with very big acts coming. For example 17.05 Snoop Dogg is performing. During Camden Crawl Razorlight perfomed there as the Final Act!
Bull and Gate/Club Fandango: Bull and gate is a smaller location with more unkown artists performing every night, and usually several different acts per night. For example:
Tuesday: All Mankind, Rev 78, Chloe Jones, Low level flight
Wednesday: Lion Tops, Raquels, Boy Mandeville, Safari
Thursday: Nylo, Tbc, Mamuthones
etc.
Marcia and I will go to acts this week and try to get some interviews with the bands and take lots of pictures. What do you think? Snoop Dogg, will sadly be impossible, but I think it would be better to have more local british artists anyways!
